The company was a conceptual idea in 1998 by Pyro Pete Cappadocia who approached Elia Popov of J.E.M. F/X Inc of Los Angeles a leader in automated fire effects, to design and fabricate custom Flame Effects for close proximity use in the live entertainment industry. Pete Cappadocia was contacted by the production manager for the AC/DC 2000 World Tour. At the time it was all a concept that had to become a reality quickly. Stage & Effects put together a design and fabrication team in order to make this a reality. They used the same conceptual design that is used in there permanent installations in amusement parks and live entertainment shows, the only milestone was to make it all portable, compact, reliable and easy to permit for close proximity use for indoor and outdoor applications. Well after a year of design, in house functional testing and third party listing they fabricated exactly what was requested by AC/DC. Since 1999 Stage & Effects Engineering and J.E.M. F/X Inc, Inc. have designed some of the most innovative fire effects ever seen in the live entertainment industry. Since then we have designed and fabricated some of the most innovative props and fire effects ever seen. |
